The following is is a blog entry from Bonnie Carpenter, Associate Dean of the Arts.

It is an exciting time in Idyllwild Arts history.

We are currently in the process of a selecting a new President/Headmaster for our school and with that comes new and different opportunities and challenges. Idyllwild Arts is lucky to have an active Board who care deeply about the traditions and future of the school.  They are thoughtful, caring and invested in the mission and history of the institution.  While change is difficult for many of us, it is more palatable knowing that the people appointed with this task are taking the responsibility seriously.

This weekend the committee narrowed the search from a list of semi-finalists to a group of finalists.  In this process, it became evident that there are many people in educational leadership roles across the globe who value the importance of arts education and the impact that the arts have on the world.  Their reflections on our community validated the work we are doing with the multitude of young artists that pass through our campus each year.
